About Us
Together for Clean Air
Our system combines a glass fibre fine dust filter with the Blue Fire GmbH catalytic converter for maximum efficiency:
Three experts, one goal – behind the innovative technology for reducing emissions from wood-fired boilers is a consortium of leading industrial companies:
Bertrams GmbH & Co KG

Company Profile
Bertrams was originally founded in Vienna in 1876 and is now one of Europe’s leading specialists in exhaust and stove pipe systems. With its own production facility in Austria – located in Jois on Lake Neusiedl – the company combines tradition with modern manufacturing technology.
History & Milestones:
1876 – Start of production in Vienna, manufacture of stove pipes and knee presses.
1980 – First Austrian company in this industry to introduce the longitudinal seam welding process.
1996 – Introduction of laser welding technology for processing thin-walled sheet metal with a 100% guarantee of exhaust and smoke tightness.
2013 – New construction and relocation of production to a state-of-the-art factory in Jois, in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lake Neusiedl.
Product & Service Offering
Bertrams offers a comprehensive range of exhaust and stove pipes, heating technology accessories and system solutions – especially for industrial applications, stove construction and heating systems. Production includes state-of-the-art manufacturing lines with robot and laser technology, as well as environmentally friendly painting with water-based, solvent-free and smoke-free paint (‘Senotherm® UHT-HYDRO’).
Focus On Quality and the Environment
Bertrams has distinguished itself not only through technical innovation, but also through consistent environmental and quality standards: from CE standard certification (2006) to automated manufacturing processes and environmentally friendly coatings.
Blue Fire GmbH

Company Profile
Blue Fire GmbH is an innovative company specialising in the development and distribution of catalysts for reducing emissions in combustion processes, particularly wood-fired systems. The focus is on reducing CO, organic hydrocarbons (OGC) and particulate matter, thereby preserving cleaner air and complying with future emission requirements.
Research, Technology & Innovation:
Range of standard catalysts in numerous sizes, available from stock. Designed as OEM parts for integration directly into the combustion chamber of wood-fired systems.
Over 50 different tested catalyst coatings, which are used depending on the customer’s emission target.
Blue Fire Ltd. works closely with research institutions and has shareholders with over 20 years of experience in catalyst development.
Range of ready-made standard catalytic converters (e.g. dimensions 155 mm × 120 mm × 18 mm) for direct integration into fireplace or wood-burning systems.
2 automatic vacuum coating systems with very short cycle times
Own catalyst recycling plant for recovering precious metals
2024 – Construction of the new plant in Saterland-Strücklingen, within the Emission Partner Group
Market Position & Significance
Blue Fire is regarded as a leading manufacturer of catalytic converters in the wood combustion technology industry. At trade fairs such as ISH, Progetto Fuoco and World Of Fireplaces, the company regularly demonstrates at its own stands how Blue Fire catalytic converters can already be used today to fall below future emission limits.
Culimeta textile glass technology
GmbH & Co. KG

Company Profile
Culimeta Textilglas-Technologie GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active specialist in technical textiles based on glass fibre, with a focus on thermal, electrical and acoustic insulation as well as reinforcement of plastics.
Business Areas & Expertise:
Production of glass fibre technologies for applications such as industrial insulation, fire protection, the automotive sector and relining of sewer systems.
The ‘textile glass’ division manufactures products that are used in thermal, electrical and acoustic applications and sold worldwide.
Special solutions such as ‘vitriLiner’ (glass fibre-based inliner for trenchless sewer rehabilitation) demonstrate the company’s innovative strength and versatility.
Market Position & Innovation
The company is considered a global leader in textile glass technology for the aforementioned fields of application and impresses with its breadth (multiple locations) and depth (customised solutions).
A current example: participation in ‘World of Fireplace 2025’ with new solutions for heat-resistant materials.
Together, Bertrams, Blue Fire and Culimeta form a strong consortium that exploits synergies:
- Bertrams supplies mechanical and system components for pipe and exhaust systems.
- Blue Fire contributes specialised catalytic converter technology for exhaust gas and emission reduction.
- Culimeta supplements with high-quality textile glass technology – e.g. depth filters for fine dust or heat-resistant textile glass solutions.
This close collaboration has resulted in an integrated system for the effective reduction of emissions from wood-burning stoves and combustion solutions – a forward-looking approach that sets new standards for the industry.
